Main Objectives of Boiler Drying Process

1. Moisture Removal
   The newly constructed furnace wall of a boiler absorbs a significant amount of moisture during installation. This is because materials such as refractory bricks and castables contain high water content.

   The drying process allows the joints between bricks to reach their optimal strength, enhancing the wall’s resistance to high temperatures and ensuring structural integrity.

3. Activating Optimal Material Performance
   For certain types of refractory materials, drying serves to initiate sintering or firing at high temperatures, which is essential for the material to achieve its designed performance characteristics.

4. Ensuring Uniform Expansion of Boiler Joints
   This process enables uniform thermal expansion across all boiler joints, thereby preventing loosening or damage caused by uneven expansion.
